Challenging track with alot if elevation change, blind crests. Most fun and challenging track ive been in yet. Morning session left alot of time out on track so looking to improve this aft. 9th this morning. 1:43 best lap. I will get my satisfaction! (for a perfect lap) Bond's GT3RS and the TIC Subaru WRX are back today but it appears a spun rod bearing has done it in for good. One of the Vipers also stuffed it, taking out its oil cooler so it already looks to be a long trip longer tonight for some.

The track in the Bayou was tight and technical, perfect for our light and nimble car. Result was a fourth place in the morning which is our best road course finish ever. Only the top 2 GTRs and Billy Johnsons Roush mustang ran quicker. It was far from a perfect lap though, the boost solenoid was out to lunch causing the motor to shut down in 4th gear above 5k rpms. Upon inspecting the car after morning session we also found a leaking cv boot. Replacing the cv axle with a stock one and rerouting the wastegate to bypass the solenoid were our lunch time activities. The result was a few pounds less boost operating on the wastegate spring alone and afternoon heat causing tire grip to drop. We ran the same time as in the morning and finished in 6th although it felt much better. Off to Barber Motorsports park. Its reputation for being a great challenging track is only preceded by its 'you break it you bought it' policy. Putting wheels on the grass, leaving fluids on track, touching anything other than the track surface will cost you a pretty penny.

Got in at 5:30. An hours sleep felt like a whole nights worth. Looking forward to gaining some points back after the walloping we got yesterday.

It's 8:30pm and we're just leaving Gainsville. As many lessons we learned from last year, tonight would be a repeat of a mistake we made last year. Not hitting the road early enough. Alot of one lappers skip out on the bracket race just be cause it's worth so little points wise. Tight for points, we decided to stick it out. Having removed the allotted and wing for the E/T run wasted much time too and we ended up being the very last to leave the drags. We did make it into the top 8 though...with some sandbagging that eventually backfired. E/T was a 13.4s quarter which is not particularly impressive. 7 hour drive ahead of us to get to the track in Louisiana. Ouch!
